8 Tips for Decorating With Prints On Canvas

Canvas printing has gained a lot in popularity in recent years. People are tired of the same old wall art, and want new options. Canvas printing offers them just that, as well as the possibility to use some of their own photography to decorate their home. They can use snapshots taken during vacations, or select any number of favoured family photos.

1) Use canvas prints that suit the room

While you may enjoy a nude portrait in your own bedroom, it would be unwise to hang one on the guest bedroom. Some guests will feel uncomfortable, and may get the wrong impression about you. The theme of a print is also important for other reasons. The colour of your print can make a room feel larger or smaller.

 

2) Understand colours

Vibrant colours bring a room to live, while neutral shades are rather calming. For instance, if you work in a busy office, select a sea scape with brilliant blue colours. Bright yellow is perfect for art studios and kid’s rooms, while a doctor’s office will benefit most from softer greens, neutral beige and pastel colours.

 

3) Select landscapes for small rooms
